Slowly Clearing

The clouds slowly clearing as the Milky Way sinks below the horizon across the Pamilco Sound. The thunderstorm in the lower left is actually almost 100 miles away over Cape Lookout.

I was trying to get some images at the Bodie Island Light but got tired of battling mosquitoes while I waited for clearer skies. Time is running out but I hope I can get a few more nights of shooting before the season is over.
