Looking Back At 2022

Now that 2022 is drawing to a close I find myself reflecting on the past year. I got a slow start fighting weather and family schedules for the first 4 months but May thru November was like a whirlwind.

We spent a lot of nights on the Outer Banks, some of them in tents. There were several trips to Cataloochee Valley to photograph the elk and several to Davidson River to fish. We found our tent camping cold threshold on a fall night in Pisgah Forest.

I was able to get truly amazing sequence of a Walops Island rocket launch from the north end of Ocracoke. We finished up with a return to the island for some fishing just after Thanksgiving.

Only a few more weeks until Milky Way season begins once again. Since I basically took December off it's time to start planning trips to my favorite spots and finding some new places for adventures. See you out there under the stars soon.
