I managed to beat the crowds to the falls Sunday morning and had it almost all to myself. It was cold but well worth it. After a few shots I realized I had the wrong lens and on the way back up to swap I noticed this pool filled with leaves I had missed. I couldn't get back down fast enough.
Looking Glass is a really neat falls to shoot. You can park right beside it and there are steps all the way down. Unfortunately that also means it's usually crowded and crowds make it difficult to get that perfect shot.
It would seem that if you head to the mountains when it's in the 30s to 40s and make the trip to the falls just after sunrise very few people are stupid...I mean dedicated enough to be there as well.
