Davidson River Get-Away

Another weekend and another trip to the mountains of Western North Carolina. The main purpose of the trip was trout fishing in the Davidson River but I did manage to get up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and do a little photography.

We camped Saturday night at the Davidson River Campground, just inside the Pisgah National Forest. It was our third trip to this great campground and I highly recommend it if your are headed to the Brevard area.

Campfires, fishing and church on Sunday made this short get-away a great reprieve from school and work for all. Our next trip will be to the Outer Banks but after that I think we'll be trout fishing on these cool, clear waters again soon.
